Delasport began as a proof-of-concept payment platform intended to become the technical foundation for payment processing across several internal products. The goal was to validate the architecture, set engineering standards, and ship production-ready functionality.
I redesigned the PoC architecture to better fit business expectations and the platform's long-term evolution, then combined hands-on backend work with technical leadership to accelerate delivery. Alongside the first production release — delivered on schedule — I introduced the code-review practices and development guidelines that gave the team a consistent way of working.
What I owned
- Restructured the proof-of-concept architecture to meet business objectives and support long-term platform expansion.
- Provided strategic technical direction during the PoC phase to strengthen the project's foundations.
- Combined hands-on Java and Spring Boot development with technical leadership to accelerate delivery while raising software quality.
- Designed REST-API-based microservices following clean-architecture principles.
- Established coding conventions, code-review processes and development guidelines to improve team consistency.
- Led the team to deliver the first production-ready version of the platform within the planned timeline.
- Turned changing business requirements into scalable technical solutions in close collaboration with stakeholders.
